Unfortunately with the new suspension rules this year, I think online books grade to the last complete inning, which would have made Balt a winner. Wayne made a post about it the other day I think.

I don't understand that reasoning at all?
How does that make sense. Your team wins---that you played... but you lose because they weren't winning at the right time of a game which in turn gets rained out.

I agree, although I guess it's b/c game can now be made up weeks later and they don't keep it out as an active play. Here is Wayne's post from the other night (sorry to clog this thread up):

"For betting purposes, except for Interactive games and WBC matches, winners and losers of games are official after 5 innings of play. If the home team is leading, the game is official after 4 1/2 innings. Thereafter, if a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined based on the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie or take the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called."

Thanks buddy---I can roll with that!! Next time I fear rain is coming I won't bet the game...It is a different rule(REALLY)...Come on FOOTBALL---you get rained on and still keep on playing..like I said it is what it is and I can't do a damn thing about it..at least I know the rule now--still doesn't make sense that your team wins the game---which should be what it is all about...One more Question for instance in the NFL( if it applies)the Chargers are winning 13-7 in the third quarter and it is late...KC scores with no time remaining to go up 14-13. Quarter expires and when KC kicks off at 15:00 SD scores a touchdown 99 yarder...Lightning strikes and doesn't quit..who wins the game in regards to the spread...Is this just a BBall thing or what???

I think football games need to go 55 minutes to be official. Not sure if the wager would carryover or be scratched, but I'm 99% sure there would not be a winner or a loser.
