Thats horrible sorry LSUFan and I can say, I know the feeling..living in south florida the hurricanes here are getting more horrific every year, Whats wrong with this earth...The newscasters were saying this year El Nino is back which is going to make hurricanes worse for Florida, someone needs to lay off finding cures for AIDs which hasnt moved anywhere in tens of years and focus on the global warming system...

What a wasteful destruction of such beautiful old homes and trees. These things and peoples lives can never be replaced.Hopefully some of the charm of New Orleans can be restored and the people of the great state of Louisiana can begin the long road back to total recovery.
Very sad... LSU do you have any idea how Gulf Hills golf course made out. 12 of us go to Miss. every summer for a week to play golf and gamble. Thanks spread.....
unbelievable!!! the devastation is so great...where do you start???? the beauty and years of architecture wiped out is hard to imagine.....thanks for the pictures....these are things we do not see on the news.....sorry for your losses.....god bless buddy!!!
The insurance companies are waiting on the Government to fix the problem and the Government is waiting to see how much the insurance companies are going to fix.
I remember seeing one person on the news that called his Insurance and was told they didn't cover his water damage.
Has anyone down that way seen any rebuilding being done by the Government or Insurance?
the sad part of this all is that everyone says you need insurance. Well many of these people who indeed did have insurance that they paid for years and years wont see their $$$'s for years. its unreal that our government is so messed up.

as a former insurance salesman I definitely agree that insurance company's are legalized scams. anyone's who paid for car insurance for thirty years, had one minor fender bender and seen their premiums skyrocket knows what I'm talking about.
