It's called "noodlin' " It's fuckin insane. I've got friends and family who've done it. The only way I've ever caught one of those monster catfish is on a trotline on Grand Lake or the S. Canadian River.

they can also drowned by doing it. If a big enough fish latches on and holds them underwater... that's it. Cat fish can apparantly get to around 200+ pounds and live in those holes in muddy/sinking water.
