  • Need a new sportsbook, who?

I currently use Sportsbook.com, but don't really care much for it. Very few halftime lines, very few college totals, late lines, etc.

Seems like I've read most people talk favorably about Pinnacle. If it matters, I'm a small time better, $20 a game or so. Seems like Pinnacle has lower sign up bonus, but looks like they have lower juice on most bets. Over time that seems to make a much bigger difference.

Also, for reasons not worth going into, Western Union is the only option for me. Anyone know roughly how much it costs for a $300-$500 deposit? I ask b/c if you guys agree I should use Pinnacle, according to their site they don't reimburse the transfer fees unless you put in $1k.

    Thanks for any input guys.

    i'd say about 40 for 300 and 50 for 500

i use bodog and haven't had any problems with them plus they have good bonuses, sometimes 20% for reloads

betonsports is a decent book. they reemburce (sp?) you for west union deposits of $300 or more and you can make bets on phone for 25 and online for 10. they have a lot of props and half time lines so it's pretty good. also, i've had few problems withdrawling money. gl

Harold, where on Pinnacle does it say anything about them reimbursing for Western Union? Thanks man.

All of the banners are on top of every page here.

They are confusing banners by the way. Pinnacle is best. Also - forget the anal retentive Bodog- Easy to get in but they continue to find ways to take every edge- yes- they give a bonus but they know that the advantage is still in their favor- its their little teaser. You will continue not finding lines at Bodog. many games are circled.

Yes, unfortunately they do, unless you are withdrawing $1k or more. That is the only downside I've found to Pinnacle. They don't reimburse Western Union and charge you for payouts. Sportbook pays you back for Western Union and you can get like 5 free payouts a month. I think the charge for payouts is as high as $25, and as low as $10, depending on the method.

I did join Pinnacle about a week ago, and am playing Pinnacle and Sportsbook, which I actually like to compare line. Despite the payout stuff, it is light years better than Sportsbook in my opinion. They have about a million things to bet on. They have halftime lines on every single game, 13 point teasers, and most of all reduced juice.

I'm a small bettor, $20 to $25 is my normal play, but I play 4-6 games everyday, and more on the weekends. Over the course of a week I'm probably betting 40 games, 160 a month, I think you see the point. At 5% juice instead of 10%, it really adds up over the course of a year, and EASILY offsets the payout charge, assuming you don't want to get paid every week.

One thing I forgot to mention was that not only is their juice lower, but their money lines are considerably better. A couple days ago Seattle was +4.5, and the money line was +155. On Pinnacle, the line was Seattle +4, which means Seattle is "less" of an underdog so the money line should be lower in theory. Well, Pinnacle's money line was Seattle +173.

I know the 2 don't always correlate, but across the board Pinnacle's ML has higher payouts.
