hope it's ok to post this. if it gets deleted, find 'basic strategy' on the internet. slight variations, but negligible in real life play. takes 3-4 hrs. to memorize. This gets you a NEGATIVE 0.5%. (better than any other casino game).
If you don't want to do all of that, memorize 9-10-11 dbl.downs, and plays vs. dealer upcard.
splits and soft dbldwns aren't as important. Never vary from this on a 'hunch', unless you're counting cards.
    always split aces & 8's.
never take insurance, even when you have BJ, i.e. no "even $".
never play where BJ pays only 6:5 as opposed to 3:2.
never get upset about another's plays. It will just frustrate you, and mathematically they help as often as they hurt you. You just remember the 'bad beats'.
as w/ any gambling $ mgmt is important. if you're up $500, playing $25-50/ hand, don't blow it all in short term. Conversely, if you're down $, don't chase.
