I was a little hungover this morning. Accidently pressed an extra zero when placing my bet on the mets. Do you think if I would have called, the sportsbook would have corrected my mistake or was I f**ked?

they usually do if you call immediatly after placing the bet otherwise since BB lines move quick they wouldnt have changed it

Unfortunally, your honest mistake won't matter to them. You'll be SOL. But then again, you have to walk in the books shoes. If they do it for one, they set an example for others. They have thousands of customers who they deal with in a non personal matter, therefore for business purposes they must establish their policy and stick to it. The hypocritical part of this is if the put out a bad line(ie. favoring the wrong team), they will send you an email notifying you as such and stating their is no action on that particular game. That's bullshit in my opinion. They should honor the bet. They put out the lines and we place the wagers. It should come back on the line manager, he should be held accountable rather than telling the customer, my bad no action. Just my opinion. But that's the reality of it. What can ya do? Would ya call the police and tell them the hotel maid stole your pot. Of course not, chalk it up to a brain fart.

Funny story for ya Jack. I'm down at New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl to see my Hokies take on the Auburn Tigers. The night before the game I'm out w/ a friend who is a wealthy business owner. He drops a lot of coin in a titty bar and one of the fine young ladies decides to take him home w/ her and rock his world. He goes back to his hotel in the AM and realizes the 8 ball he left on the bathroom sink is no longer their. Don't get me wrong, he's a respected business man and nothing more than a consumer as far as that's concerned. To each his own and everything in moderation is my opinion. So he goes to the maid down the hall and says I know you have something I'm missing and here's $500, I'd like to have it back. She says with a smile, "no habla English". What can he do? In the Superdome that night, I'm going to get a beer and he says grab me one too.... to which I replied "no habla English". Of course I got my friend a brew, but it was funny as shit. Ya had to be their. And we saw a great game. Shit happens, ya have to laugh at yourself sometimes and just roll w/ the punches. Peace out!

Just curious.... was the difference between 10 dollars and 100... or 100 and 1000?
Too bad it didn't go the other way for ya.... shit does happen once i took a first half under bet in a Jet game for 200 that i posted, watched in delight as my bet won easy, then found out that i cliked on the over by accident Oh well, at least I never lost an 8-ball....

Any luck getting it changed? If you have a pattern of betting relatively the same on each bet, you might have had a chance to get it changed if you had done it right away, don't know about now. GL

Now would be too late for sure.

If the game wasn't going for say at least 2 hrs or more you may have been able to call them and spoke to a supervisor to get it fixed.

I've F'ed up a few times at Oly (damn that interface!) and Canbet, but I emailed right in and they've always cleared it up for me. You do have to contact them quick though, you probably lose credibility with each passing minute.
