Is the OTT Off Topic Forum Social Media?

Funny, but I NEVER had an interest in social media. Facebook, twitter and whatever else.

BUT after some time of never looking at the Off Topic forum here I seem to have got caught up in it.

I plan on changing that, but as a last post in this forum, possibly, LOL, I was wondering what you guys think.

Seems to me that the OTT Off Topic Forum is a type of social media, and I can see how people get involved in such sites. Very interesting hearing other's opinions on things, and seeing how much each of us may reject what the others think or believe. AND an opportunity to try to convince others they are obviously wrong in what they believe.

So anyway, I have gained a lot from interaction from other members that feel differently than I do in many cases. I appreciate that as after retirement I have less interaction with people that may or may not think differently than I do.

Still curious what you guys think. I know there have been posts in this forum saying something like: This is a tractor forum, go somewhere else!

But it is an OT forum on a tractor site...

I'm really sorry to hear about the tough situation you're going through. Social media can indeed have its ups and downs, connecting people but sometimes also leading to unexpected consequences.

By the way, speaking of social media, have you ever looked for super cheap Instagram followers? While it's an interesting concept, remember that real connections and support from friends and family are what truly matter during challenging times like these.
