Not sure if this is just a local fad, but we seem to have a number of houses locally having their tiled roof cleaned. Taking them from a nice weathered brown, to bright clay orange.
I assume this is purely an aesthetic fad?
Perhaps it's just a personal preference, but not quite sure why someone wants to take a well weathered 1930s roof and make it look like a new build. I thought the general advice for clay tiled roofs was if it's not broke, don't touch it.
