  • Florida's Amendment 3

Wow. It's been awhile since I've been on BC. So long that I had a hard time remembering my login. I'm here to ask all my gambling family to help get the word out on Florida's Amendment 3 and to vote NO on this Amendment. What's going on is, the Seminole Tribe as it stands now, owns all class III gaming rights in the State and they want to keep it that way. They have paired up with Disney who if they had their way, there would be no gambling in the State. Let's face it, Disney doesn't want you and your family coming to Florida to stay at a casino resort. They want you staying at a Disney resort. People who live along the coast who own tourist shops, bars, restaurants, hotels, people who rent out their condo's. Does anyone think that they are going to okay a chance for a casino opening up near them? No. That's why in this Amendment they are going to have it to where 60% of the people in the State has approve any gambling expansion. Disney and the Seminoles know that it's not going to get close to that mark, keeping things just the way they are. That includes fantasy sports, which is illegal in the State, and sports gambling which a lot of States are looking to jump in on. Not to say that a new casino wouldn't open up, but I'm thinking it's more to block the pari mutuel wagering sites in Florida from being up and running with table games and sports betting. So again I'm asking to please if you can help us all out by letting someone know. Here is a video on it if you could share on your FB or whatever. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWJVOfAqoJM&t=171s

I hope I posted this in the proper forum. I checked all the other headings and this one looked the closest to where it would fit in. If not please move it to the proper forum. Thanks.

Any measure that takes these special interest, minority groups out of the equation is a major step forward in any area of life. Way to go, Florida! Get it done!
