Bet Mania and Bet Phoenix have also been down.

And bookmaker still owes me money. Paid only a small oportion of a payout request made 10 weeks ago. I'm staying on them but getting onklky a runaround.

I continue to encourage people to avoid them.

                Gris,

Did you send me your info on them? If so do so and I can get you paid.

Be careful on BetMania as the owner was a former big shot with betonsports. Bet Phoenix is a slow mode of paying players as well.

There are much better books at the top of this site.

                    BetPhoenix slow-pays update
A BetPhoenix (*** rating C) player reports payment. On May 1st, 2011, the player requested a €689 withdrawal via Neteller. The payout was not paid in the quoted time-frame of 10-14 business days advertised for eWallet payments. After emailing and going to BetPhoenix live chat everyday for the better half of two months, it was suggested that the player accept an alternate payout method. The player agreed that he no longer wished to wait for Neteller, and reported receiving payment on Friday, July 15th, 2011.

Since ***'s last BetPhoenix report four weeks ago, an additional five slow-pay complaints have been reported. Players report waiting for $30,654, with the earliest payout request made in mid-March of 2011.

*** advises players be persistent and to contact BetPhoenix CS on a daily basis, noting a desire to be paid an alternate method to avoid the now extreme eWallet payout delays. Players may ask to speak with "Tino", the individual now responsible for handling the management of the BetPhoenix day to day operations as well as overseeing the payout department. BetPhoenix players with payment disputes are asked to fill out a sportsbook complaint form.

VIP Sports to close August 1st, 2011
VIP Sports (*** rating B+) has announced it will close on August 1st, 2011. VIP Sports and sister sportsbooks Nine.com and BetGameday.com each display a note atop their homepage asking players to request a payout within the next two weeks. *** is following up with VIP to ask what will happen with pending futures bets, and to inquire on who players should contact if their funds are not requested prior to the August 1st closure date.

                      VIP Sports history
VIP Sports has long been a player favorite, with a reputation of catering to their "VIP" customer base by offering personalized rewards programs. VIP Sports was based in the Dutch Antilles, operated by parent company Stockdale Investment Ltd. VIP Sports was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2005, and continued its prominence by acquiring the MyBookie Group which included Nine.com and Betcom.com.* VIP Sports also acquired the English Harbor Casino Group in November of 2005. In the spring of 2006, VIP Sports announced a full year gross profit of more than $80M, citing a 26% growth from 2005. VIP Sports lowered it's profile in the fall of 2006, deciding to no longer accept new player registrations from the United States on the heels of the UIGEA act. VIP Sports continued to operate a well-run sportsbook for the next six years.* Its next major announcement came in January of 2011, when the sportsbook announced that its grandfathered Washington State players could no longer maintain accounts with VIP, amidst legal questionmarks surrounding players from that state.

Players with any questions pertaining to their upcoming withdrawals for VIP Sports or any sister sportsbook should write to *** at help@****************.com. *** may also be reached by phone during normal business hours at 1-830-255-4677.

                        Mark,

Don't believe everything that you read from that site. They are pretty accurate, but not 100% by any means.

Well I do apologize I googled something pertaining to a question someone had here and lo and behold I was reading about sports books and then realized after I copied and pasted things really realized where I was. I saw the chat board after my posts and said holy shit... Wrong place to copy and paste from... Was just trying to find out things about sports books and stumbled onto it...
