Question - does your bank give you trouble

I use a local bookie for the majority of my bets, but he has been tying my hands lately so looking to take my bigger action online.

Question: does your local bank give you any problems if you get bigger checks from these books ?

Example i win $5,000 and request a check from sportsbook.com
Once i deposit into my account, does the bank ask a million questions like do you know gambling is illegal and bla bla bla ?

They shouldnt. Those checks are drawn on us and canadian banks. Just deposit it and wait for it to clear. Do not try to cash on the spot even if u have enough cash in ur acc. To cover the check. Hope this helps.

Depends on how you handle your account. They may put a 3-5 day hold on your account until the check clears. If you have no overdrafts or have compensating balances you should get immediate credit.

If you know someone at the bank with some authority, have them ok it before you hit the teller line.

The check itself shouldn't be the problem.

You live in Canada where the laws are different. I don't think you would have any problems at all.

Well, i haven't any problem with my bank and i am so thankful for it. I think you must change your bank if you are having some problems on big check.
