Rep. Barney Frank sees the odds improving for repealing a long-sought Internet gambling ban.

The chairman of the House Financial Services Committee believes the recent seizure of millions of dollars in online poker receipts only strengthens his hand because it reminds voters and politicians how sweeping — and potentially unclear — the existing law is.

The US Seriously needs to create a website or websites of their own and keep those billions in this Country. It is so simple and they would make a ton of much needed money off it. I just don't get why this is still happening. I just read the whole story and it sounds like Barney was the one who seized the monies and it also sounds like he is the one trying to get it back too. I'm a little confused on his stance i guess.

Also, the NFL is the NFL because of gambling so they should get off their fucken high horse and shut the fuck up!

Pretty much every one of them bryce. That is why we can't use our debit cards at any of them anymore.

MGM tried online overseas and lost out to the more established companies.

Harrah's I believe is going to enter overseas market now and they have the WSOP behind them.

What's funny is that Vegas want's it legalized as at least 3 of the Casinos have said they would be online serving USA citizens within a year of it's legalization. Also you have numerous States passing gambling bills to either expand gambling or add gambling because they realize how much monies can be gotten from taxes.

If the European Union would apply more pressure to the USA it would get done quicker. Even if the USA stone walls them with BS like they did with Antigua.

Kaz, I agree but, I don't think anyone gives a fuck about their personal beliefs. They are in office FOR THE PEOPLE and if the people want to gamble, they should have NO RIGHT to tell us what we can spend our money on. They have no problem with state and federal lotteries so they are being fucken hypocrites (IMO) and they are making this a communist country if they keep deciding where our money goes. Politicians also court large voter blocks like the conservative, Christian right. Those groups are better organized than us degenerates. I think maybe we, the BC community, should hire a lobbyist....maybe join with other gambling groups to form something like FAD IF OFLG, the Federation of American Degenerates In Favor of Fucking Legalized Gambling.

Yeah....Unfortunately the majority of the big money Republican's who put these clowns in office think gambling is corrupt and morally wrong. I also think if you ask the majority of Republican voters, they would probably say, gambling is corrupt. Fortunately, with a Democratic Congress, we might see some progress in legalizing this shit. Let's hope so anyway. One Republican after another steps up to try and defeat any progress....If these idiots had any brains, they'd figure a way to legalize it and tax it.

Going through an agent bypasses all the financial checks and balances they've tried to put in to prevent Americans from doing business with offshores...but I'm certain the agents' businesses are illegal as well. Maybe that's not what you were asking, though.

When I say agent--I mean he carries me. He puts in 700.00 a week and squares up with BetCris. then I square with him either way. He has 40-50 guys that he does this with.
I am sure too it is illegal but I still have money in my account--so that is why I asked the loophole question--somehow it is being done.
