im confused? an agent is a local book who lays bets off to an offshore? how does the local split profits? does he have to fund it? and why wouldnt everyone just say there an agent?

Yes...They set up their players accounts with an offshore so the local doesn't have to answer phones and what not. The offshore gets a % and the local gets a %. When I bet by phone, I call the offshore. And when I bet online, I go through the offshores website. When I win or lose a certain amount, I meet my local and pay him cash. That way, it doesn't have to go through Neteller or a credit card. My local squares things up with the offshore once a week......On those offshores that do this, they call them agents for the company, to somehow get away from calling them bookies, I guess.
