  • VIP pulls out of the USA and Canada

VIP and its other 2 sportsbooks Nine and BetGameDay have pulled out of the USA.

If you have an account there either request a payout or do a book to book transfer.

If you want to do a book to book transfer to a particular book on this website let me know.

I did not realize that they pulled out. Thanks for the info. Book to book transfer would be great. Can you recommend a book that would give a bonus on first time deposit (my transfer) and takes wagers less than $50 dollars over the phone.

P.S. I already have an account with Bet Jamaica, but would like to find a new book.

Thanks alot for your help in advance.

BC, I have accounts with all three and have not seen any type of banner on the site and have not received any email on this issue. When will it take place? I had a BetCRIS account and the day it happened there was a page after login that redirected you to Bookmaker. I have not seen anything out of the ordinary with these three as of yet.

I would have to check on the less than $50 over the phone thing. Any of the books on the site except bet365 which doesn't take USA accounts would be good.

Trust me they pulled out of the USA market. If you have an account their and are still allowed to play then that may be ok, but they are not taking new USA customers for sure. They also fired almost half of their staff.

            Hey Monte,

You said if anyone wanted to do a book to book transfer out of a VIP based account, to let you know; Well I would like to transfer out of my Nine.com account to my Betjamaica account. I was wondering if you had any hook ups with this, ie extra bonuses or make it easier dealing with these yahoo's. I have never done a book to book transfer, so not sure how it usually works.

If you could reply as to the best way to deal with this, I would appreciate it.

            Thanks.

Yes, the first thing you need to do is open an account with BetJamaica (click on the banner on the site) in the mean time I will send an e-mail to BetJamaica regarding what you need to do on their end after that.

                When will this take place????

I placed a bet there within the last 3 minutes, and have to assume that they will honor any wager that has been placed and verified.

If you have an account there already you may be ok as they may still let you play with them. However, they pulled out of the USA market on 2-26-07 per their e-mail to me.

Monte, I have an account with Bet Jamaica. Now what.

I am not concerned with Bet Jamaica taking the transfer, I am more concerned that Nine.com will drag their feet on the transfer to Bet Jamaica, and I will be without any money to wager at either site. Is that a distinct possibility?

Have you tried placing a wager at nine.com? They be allowing US & Canada citizens to wager if they already have an account. However, they told me that they pulled out of the USA & Canada market.

What you need to do is call nine.com up and request a transfer to BetJamaica. Make sure to ask them how long it will take, because if they do drag their feet you could end up with no wagering for NCAA.

Yeah, I am still able to place a wager, but the info about them pulling out combined with them not allowing any telephone wagers at all anymore has made me want to move all my money, somewhere else. I can't wager from work, so the phone is the only way I can wager at times, so it makes it hard to have an account through nine.com.

                            Monte,

Nine.com refuses to do a book to book transfer. They have always been very hard to work with, so I am actually glad to go get another book..

They told me that they were just not taking new customers from the US or Canada, but they would continue to take wagers, deposits, and payouts from existing customers.

                              US Customers
Effective immediately, all VIP.com sites will no longer accept new customers from the United States .

                              Canadian Customers
VIP.com will no longer accept deposits from Canadian players effective immediately. Canadian customers will maintain access to their account until April 1, 2007. Any current balance in the account may continue to be used until that date, at which point any remaining funds will be refunded to the player and their account will be closed.

Massive dismissal at VIP.com WILLEMSTAD – VIP.com that offers sports betting and internet gambling has dismissed 84 employees. VIP Management Services BV exists for ten years and is established in the Bon Bini Business Center at the Schottegatweg Oost. There are still 120 employees left, confirmed top executive Alistair Assheton.
The VIP-management has sent an internal e-mail to all her employees today, inviting them to a nine o’clock meeting. The employees were divided into two groups, and one group had to attend the meeting in the Hilton Hotel, and the other group had to go the meeting in the Floris Suite. The employees that went to the Hilton Hotel were told that they are still employed, while those that went to Floris Suite were dismissed.
They were told that they will get a redundancy of one week for each year of service, the remaining vacation days, and two weeks notice paid.
For all sorts of reasons, VIP.com has to downsize, said Assheton. One of the reasons for this is the new legislation that the US introduced against sports betting and internet gambling. It is almost no longer possible to pay via credit cards, money gram, or Western Union. Due to this, a great part of the business is lost.
