  • Need Math Help with Degree

I patented a casino table game and have completed the numbers, but the Gaming Commision needs someone with a Bachelor's or higher to confirm the numbers.

If you're interested, it involves 16 calculations which are elementary to me and should be easy to anyone with a degree.

Every calculation involves eight decks (416 cards) with only 4 cards dealt. Each of the four cards assumes independent status.

The game is like blackjack. The player gets two cards face up and the dealer gets only one card face up while the other is face down.

The first calculation is a no-brainer (the denominator) which is the total number of four card combos:

    416 x 415 x 414 x 413 = 29,518,332,480

If you're interested in helping, let me know and we'll get together via email or phone.

An example of a calcualtion would be:

Player: Ace Spayed and King Spayed, or vice versa.
Dealer: Up card is Queen Spayed and under card is non-ten value card.

How many times does it occur?

I already have all the calculations done. But I thought it would be better to confirm it in question form rather than to submit my numbers for review. This way, if (when) your calculations match mine, it won't carry the possibility of being tainted or having any oversights in the event that I have overlooked something.

    thanx,
    dave

    Uh --- Uh --- Ummmm 33

How the fuck would I know? Dave- Listen Bud- Drinks are still free at the casino. Figure out how many nickels it would take to fill a machine and add that to how many beers I can drink in one full 12 hr. period - vomiting in the urinal 2X.

Good luck with your venture Dave.

If you don't find anyone to help, contact your local community college. They should have a "small business center" that could offer you some help. They should be able to find you a pro bono mathemetician. The state you are in probably subsidizes these centers to help people with business plans and free services. May as well put your tax dollars to work for you.

Again, good luck with the patent, and try to be patient.

Thank you Robby. That's good advice. I think I'll do that on my next day off. I've got the numbers correct, I just don't have the credentials to sign off with.

Power 21 was patented a few months before Katrina. I'm just now getting back to pursuing it again. It's an awesome game with a secondary bet.

The secondary bet (Power Bet) is paid even money when the player is dealt a bust hand. It is a push when the player is dealt a 19 or higher. In addition, it buys the player some amenities:

        Never Push with a blackjack.
Nevey lose with a twenty against a dealer blackjack.
        AK Spayeds pays 9-1
AK Spayeds w/dealer up card of Q spayed pays 50-1.

House edge on Power Bet: 0.3547%

House edge on Blackjack bet: Does not change from standard blackjack as all amenities are funded by the monies from the Power Bet.

Even prior to the amenities, the player will win the even money on the bust hand 49 times (48.91) for every 51 they lose.

        Thanx for the help,
        dave
