  • Report Says Neteller Shutdown Threatens Many Online Gambling Sites

    Ominous report from Reuters.

    http://today.reuters.com/news/articl...src=rss&rpc=22

It says some offshore sites, espcecially the poker sites, were getting as much as 65-80 percent of their revenue from US Neteller accounts.

As I stated in another thread, I believe Western Union will drop international money transfers any time now. The only way left to make deposits will probably be via cashier check to third party runners. You'll have to send them FedEx or something like that.

My fear is that many offshore books are going to collapse soon and that a lot of them will simply shutdown without refunding players' money.

I personally have closed all but two of my accounts and have left only a small amount in each. This is a time to be very careful.

Online gambling may survive but with fewer companies and after a big shakeout.

    Just my opinion.

Online gambling companies use roughly a dozen payment processors that are smaller than NETeller.
