  • Possible fully legal loophole number 1

Did I just read it is legal to make online bets on American Indian Land? American Indian Land being exempt? Such as Reservation?

    ...Check out second paragraph...

    http://bettorschat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110761

Do these reservations have Western Union?
It that a possible way to fund these offshores?
Perhaps these offshores could take not of this and be aware of where the moolah comes from?
Who is to say that you cannot use a laptop on a high speed wireless cell phone access to place your bets while there? Are they really going to try to track cell phone towers to see where you were when you placed your bet?

I am just thinking aloud here. I live in Vegas... but the juice sucks here!

What's funny is its not only not illegal to place wagers at Indian Casinos, but New York is going to have mobile phone horse wagering for horse tracks in their State. I believe Oregon already has a website for Oregon residents to do the same.

The WTO wants to know why its legal to bet on horses, casinos etc, in the USA but not for USA citizens to wager online with offshore places. Needless to say the USA has not answered which was last year sometime.

Who would be willing to drive to a casino every day to place bets? The closest indian casino for me is 1 hour and 20 minutes.

I would think as long as u made all deposits and all refunds at the casino it would be ok.For instance drive there to make your deposit Western Union then after u win drive back and get your money. Not sure if this will work or not Monte will know

If the Indian Casino accepts sports wagering I don't see it as a problem. It would be like if you live outside of Nevada and visit there and wager which is legal.

Indian tribes who have gaming operations must have a "compact" with the State in which they operate. And their ability to engage in particular types of gaming depends at least in part on the specifics of the gaming compact with the state. For example, some Indian casinos here in Oklahoma recently started having craps and roulette tables, but they're done with cards. How stupid is that? Has something to do with State regulations, etc.

My wife and children are members of a small tribe based in another state. They operate one small casino....they've been trying for years to negotiate a compact with that state to build a large casino on some land they hold in a metropolitan area. But the state's governor has not been amenable to negotiating that compact. So, even though Indian tribes are supposedly sovereign nations, they still have to jump through state government hoops..

I don't know of any Indian casino in Oklahoma that's currently engaged in sports gaming. The Kickapoos have some kind of football pool during college FB season where participants pick the straight-up winners. But it's not traditional ATS sports gambling. Many of the contemporary Indian tribes, however, have become very business savvy. So, I'm sure at least some of them have their finger on the pulse of what's going on with online gambling. And there are probably many of them working on negotiating compacts to get sports casinos. Haven't heard anything about it though. If they are, it's behind the scenes.
