Sirius Radios

The wife and I are big Stern fans, so obviously, we need to start doing the Sirius thing pretty soon.

I'm looking to buy her a radio for Christmas. The priority is a good one for her car, but I was wondering if there are any that are easily removable from the car that can be used with headphones.

Any recommendations?

Sirius just came out with a portable player, you can hook it up in your car and record sirius shows or music and take it out and listen to it, i dont know all the details but i am thinking about buying one, here is the link....

Satelite radio is great and you should definatley get it.

I have Sirius and i love it. You can get a good one for the car for $150. Mine pulls right out too, so nobody steals it. If i bought the boom box, i could bring it inside to listen to but i don't need it!

Are there any radios that can be taken from the car into the home and plugged into an existing receiver?

I have XM through my DIRECTV. I have a Sirius portable receiver for my car. I pull the receiver out of my car & put into a docking station in the house. Sirius blows XM away - even without Stern. I've had Sirius for about a year, and it great for sports as well (NBA, NFL, NHL, College foots & basketball, horse racing.) The only thing XM has over Sirius is MLB.

I don't know but i disagree with him. Sirius has the NFL Package and Stern. Stern is going to have a few other channels with some "Messed Up" stuff on them. It should get interesting with no FCC ....... I can't wait!

Your better off buying the car one and the Boom Box for $250. It goes back and forth in both.

I'm not sure what XM has but Sirius has alot of College Foots and Hoops. I'm just usually in the house watching those on T.V.
