I see it is 12-7, and here's my thoughts on this "poll"

I can't imagine that the final outcome will favor what we want here, for a couple reasons.

1. There's only about 15-20 guys that post in that thread all the time, and I think we already got their 12 votes. Why would anyone else want it in the All Sports Discussion? To them it's just taking up space, and there's MANY MANY MANY more members on here that do not post a lot that will just vote to keep it in the Non Sports section.

2. Being an anonymous vote, which is GOOD, gives guys a chance to vote against it and not have to confront anyone. I imagine there will be many that will vote because of that.

3. Even though I'm sure a lot of people follow Frank's, Mine, Bryan's plays, I'm sure a lot of them might not like us, for various reasons from we're on here a lot, we are controversial, whatever it may be, but I'm sure they'd like to take something away from us, and hear us bitch and complain a little more. I mean let's be serious, it makes for more excitement and better reading throughout the day.


That's all, I hope the vote goes in our favor, but we'll see

I read your post and understand your point. All i ask in return is for you to understand where we are coming from. Again this isnt about moving a thread. It was moved so be it. I've said that before. What bothers me to this day is why it was moved. Not once did anyone simply say hey were gonna move the urgent thread. not once did anyone take into consideration what the posters might want. If that happend and i missed it my bad. I'll apologize. Thats is what fuels my fire, nothing more nothing less.

Like when the service thread was deleted, a notice was put up a few days before so the members would know, and discuss it.... the decision was made and it was moved, but at least we knew in advance...

I can see both sides....Wayne i can understand why your upset too...over the way Bryan reacted.... to me it's no biggee I didn't use that thread and it still is accessible..... but i went through a couple of weeks where i was very busy and didn't even go to Non Gambling... so if it's easier for the members that want to use it, it doesn't take up THAT much room so why not leave it where it was for their sake and not make it a personal victory or defeat for certain people

I agree. As I stated earlier. I fully expected Non-gambling would win this vote. Most members don't care. I don't care.

I certainly know I have my share of haters. It doesnt' bother me. I'm not interested in popularity contests.

Yes I have under 1500 posts-that's because I post information. I don't wish every single person good luck on every single bet they make, it goes without me having to say it.

My meaningless 2 cents that's not

worth a penny. Sitting back as a semi-lurker with less then 750 posts (or whatever the clique requirement is), I find this whole debate both amusing and odd. For all the "newbie protectors", a question. What do you think a person who just signed up for this site thinks when they see these posts about thread position, using GOY in posts, definitions of "hypster", being told "how" to post and "how" to keep a record? How about bashing all services, the giving well-wishes to a new formed service b/c the guy is "nice" or a "long-time poster." I personally find some hypocrisy in it all. Protect the newbies while discouraging them. Just my opinion. Now I hope I am not bashed for my "opinion" b/c I don't post plays. But I wonder if Wayne could let us know the rate of new sign-ups during these turbulent times? And not the ones to register to affect the poll outcome either!!!
