first off, when he said the eagles "could win without him", it was ALL HE COULD SAY. what should he have done? started crying and ff the game? come on. your first point is that mcnabb is overrated, then you say when (they're) dropping balls he'll be sorry, that doesn't support him being overrated as much as needing a better cast. i'm not CRAZY about mcnabb and i'm certainly not an eagles fan, but owens pulled shit in SF, then screwed balt and now stirred the pot in philly. noone to blame for this crap but him..Originally posted by musclemann

Do you really think the Eagles made it to the superbowl because of TO? They would have made it anyway. Last season the NFC was an extremely weak conference. There was only two good teams. The Eagles and Falcons. The Falcons were not in the same league as Philly.Comment

AGAIN, T.O. did not play in any play off games so just like prior years they made it to the champianship game but won it this year without T.O. I'm sure he was a factor in their season performance but he wasn't the factor that got them in the big game!

Owens is a better player than McNabb. The problem is that there is no hope of developing or trading for someone even equivelent to McNabb right now.
There is a much better chance of getting someone who can come close to filling Owens' shoes.
The dropoff between McNabb and other available QBs is far more than the dropoff between Owens and other available receivers.

Listening to others discuss McNabb discuss what he was saying last year about they could still make it without TO t the superbowl was not as much a knock on TO, but a confidence builder for his replacements...letting them know they will not skip a beat....I think it was a valid comment and TO should not have made a big deal of it and saw it as a boost to the subs instead of a knock on him...As a superstar he should have a little more inside knowledge on how these things work.....If you went down wouldn;t you say to your replacement, "hey you can step in there and do it"..."it is just like the broncos, one rb goes down another fills in...thats how we are at WR"...these are motivational tactics to make the substitute feel confident and the team around him also....But it is always about TO....when it really isn;t.....He is a cock and i would not want him on my team...He is awesome when he plays, but it ain;t worth itOriginally posted by musclemannComment
