I am leaving to go on a cruise this thursday to Mexico I am looking forward to being able to play craps because i hear it's a fun game but i have never played before. A friend of mine plays a lot and showed me some things the other day. If anybody has any tips or just general info about playing i would appreciate it!

Hope you have a great time!!
Limit your betting to pass line bets and come bets and make sure to do the free odds behind your pass & come bets once the point is established which will reduce house advantage to less than 1%. There are many bets out there, but many have house advantage of over 10%.
This is my favorite game to play when I go to Vegas, and is a lot of fun when you have someone get on a great roll.
I would recommend getting a book on craps before you play so you know all the odds and what to do before you play.
Good luck and have fun on your cruise!!Posted record as of 03/12/08:

here is what i typically do. Say you start with $100 in chips on the table. $10 on pass line. After 1st roll lets say the dice land on a 6 or 8. You then take $32 and drop it on the table and say 32 inside. That C overs the following: $10 on the #5, $10 on #9, and $12 on #6 saying #8 came up as the point #. So now with the next roll you have 5,6,8,9 covered on the board. If any of these #'s come up you win.2013 NCAA POD Record

House Advantage on Craps
Let me know if this link works, it gives the best bets and the house advantages on each of the bets. As you can see, if you play pass/come bets and if you can lay 10 times behind your original bets with the free odds bet, house advantage is only .18%. (Doubt they will have 10x odds on cruise ship though)
