3 Celebrities donated $1 million each. I know PDiddy was one of them. Not positive on the other 2 as I can't remember.

I would hope so. I'm in NYC, so i'm not belittling what happened here, but there is going to be far more dead and far more damage than what occured in NYC.

The physical damage in NY was limited to a few city blocks. This is multiple cities completely wiped out. I've been watching CNBC all day and i'm at a loss for words at the pictures they're showing.

Mule, I agree. 911 was tragic however, 1000s upon 1000s didn't not lose their home and everything they own. The people who survived 911 still had a home to go to.

We should also remember that outside of the ill advised command center in one of the buildings that went down, NYC had emergency plans in place and had leadership from the second the towers were hit.

Giuliani found something within himself and stood up and provided leadership. I don't know what's going on down in Louisiana, but it seems their "leadership" is in way over their heads.

Did anyone hear what the asshole Speaker of the House said about New Orleans? He said that he see's no reason to rebuild it. Also something to the effect of buildozing it over. WTF is wrong with that guy? New Orleans is a great city with a tremendous culture plus being one of the oldest Cities in the Country.

In no way do I agree with the Speakers statement.

My first question. If the city has to be entirely rebuilt does it lose some of its beauty and luster? A huge part of New Orlean's charm was its history and age. Can it get back what it once had?

My final question how many NO residence will want to go back? They have nothing to go home to. I say this because if I lived in NO I'm not certain I'd want to return.
