I'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I'd like to bring a good paperback book or two to read on the plane and by the pool. Does anyone have any favorite books to recommend? I loved the Da Vinci Code and the The Stand ( Stephen King). But now I need something new. Any favorites?

Try and take
something OLD yet NEW!
"First Blood" (the original) if you can find it. One of the best books and of course the movie with Stallone didn't follow it right!
My fiance has written one of the best books I have ever read which to me is light years better than the Da Vinci Code BUT of course I am a little biased.
Haven't had anyone with the balls to publish it yet so I guess I am not finding the right publishers who will take on something equally controversial! At 500 to a 1000 a try it gets frustrating. Been in the fiction area but may have to move out to another publishers avenue.
You will like First Blood the original book though!
HAVE FUN ON VACATION! GoldvI am NOT schizophrenic......and NEITHER am I! Just paranoid that fear may overcome my insanity!

I've read a lot of books in my life, several twice---only once have I read the same book 3 times, and also gave copies out as gifts over the years, and all responded, "One of the best books they ever read"...It's part fiction/non fiction story of when Cortez invaded Mexico as told by a surviving elderly Azteca Man...I found it intriguing, especially since I worked in Vera Cruz Mexico and saw the ruins where this occurred...The Book is
AZTECA---hard back or Soft copy available....
Don't make me go Cajun on your Ass!
