    How Do you remove a firewall on a personal home computer...Say its your parents old computer and they had firewalls on it and you want to remove it

      Uninstall the program. Look for Norton or McAfee, they are the most popular

        If you're using msn explorer firewall, right click on the computer icon with an x through it on the bottom right taskbar, left click the dialog box that says open network connections, you'll than need to right click one of the connection icons, select properties, and you can see if this firewall is in use, and than you can uncheck the firewall box. hope this helps, if they were using a third party firewall, you may need to find it in my computer.
