Italian Joke .....................

There are lots Italians in BC, myself included. You know I Love Laffs but I'm worried that sooner or later someone may go overboard with an Italian joke ( purely an accident and not meant to be malicious ) ... and someone may take an exception to it ... and all hell might break loose. This kinda stuff gets real primal sometimes.

We'll all pretty good pals and getting even closer all the time.

Ethnicity is a touchy issue to some ... like family . I would strongly suggest we leave it alone . It's so unnecessary.

This may me a sure fire recipe for splitting everyone into 2 camps. We dont need that . We want 1 camp working and playing in harmony.

Just my opinion guys ... I don't like where this can go and thought I'd throw this out to you for careful consideration.

I'd hate to come back from vacation with a full blown war breaking out.

We have many many very intelligent, creative, and fun loving friends in BC with so much comedic material and God Bless Us for those gifts. I propose we leave family and family roots out of this site. We are too damn talented to go there.

The fact that you had to put thoughts in even suggesting a problem means that you yourself are trying to point one out.

If after reading what I posted you came back and said " Thanks CB for your concern and input but in my judgment I really dont see any problem arising " ... I would have replied : " Ok Wayne - you're here longer than I so let's have some laughs"

When you're a member of an ethnic " minority " the thinking is different sometimes. I thought that a few members might take exception to the thread and I just wanted to bring that out.

Not to worry - I'll keep my posts to a very bare minimum from now on and stay out of any and all discussions. It's just not worth the time and effort.

No shit! In my world they rule and i'm the minority. I can honestly say two things about Italians, they all seem to be pretty cool and nice guys AND their wives are all f*cken HOT! :D

that is TRUE!! There are a couple pricks in the Jersey/New York area that think they are god's gift to EVERYTHING, but most of my friends in college were from Jersey/New York area. I lived in Manhattan, right across the street from Madison Square Garden right out of college and worked in the World Trade Center, and made a ton of friends up there.

I'm sure the Jersey/NY comment will get some bad remarks.

We very much seem to be oil and water so let's just accept it. Neither of us is superior or inferior ... we are just two very different people in many ways.
