I just feel this sort of thing will lead to a very big problem sooner or later.

Personally I can not believe this thread was started by of all people .... a moderator. This AMAZES me no end.

There are lots Italians in BC, myself included. You know I Love Laffs but I'm worried that sooner or later someone may go overboard with an Italian joke ( purely an accident and not meant to be malicious ) ... and someone may take an exception to it ... and all hell might break loose. This kinda stuff gets real primal sometimes.

We'll all pretty good pals and getting even closer all the time.

Ethnicity is a touchy issue to some ... like family . I would strongly suggest we leave it alone . It's so unnecessary.

This may me a sure fire recipe for splitting everyone into 2 camps. We dont need that . We want 1 camp working and playing in harmony.

Just my opinion guys ... I don't like where this can go and thought I'd throw this out to you for careful consideration.

I'd hate to come back from vacation with a full blown war breaking out.

We have many many very intelligent, creative, and fun loving friends in BC with so much comedic material and God Bless Us for those gifts. I propose we leave family and family roots out of this site. We are too damn talented to go there.

I don't feel singled out one bit and I understand why you posted what you did. It's precautionary. In retrospect you're probably right. If you and I were out drinking, I'm sure we could razz each other about a number of things, but these threads are, to a certain degree, public and there are certain topics which cause people to become UNCOMFORTABLE.
I don't feel any of these jokes were "off color" or meant with any malice. I even learned a new joke or two.
But if ever you need any I have a "poop-load" of these wrong jokes.
My parents had a great sense of humor and would crack on each other constantly.
I learned a bunch from them.

RJ - I've had some real Doozies with a couple of former members here and if I had to do it all over again I would have NEVER let it get out of hand. It all was as much my fault as their's ... even moreso for allowing it to keep getting worse and worse. That stuff is not good for anyone and the friends of the arguers are caught in the middle. So I know what its like first hand and jeez I'd just hate to see something bad happening.

You know it's so tough to make up after an ethnic argument because that shit leaves scars and lingers on. We could never be close with anyone who disrespects our heritage. Every one of us.

Anyway, Congratulations on quitting nicotine. Hang in there and stay strong. Gotta be mentally tough. You can do it.

I work with mostly Italians and they own the company i work for. A bunch of them (Big family) have alot of relatives in NY. They thought the joke on top was hilarious. My Boss was rollin'!

I personally have absolutely nothing against ANY race or Color. If that many Italians could laugh their ass off i figured it wasn't a big deal. Some jokes are just funny and if people take them seriously then they need to look up the word joke in the dictionary OR they need to get laid! JMO :D
