I dont really care i was never into hockey....i gues i feel bad for the fans of hockey because i would be pissed if football or a basketball season was cancelled.

i care, playoff hockey is great....the season is too long, there are too many teams....i would shorten both and i think even shorten the first round of the playoffs and the amount of teams allowed to get in.....

I love hockey playoffs!!!! Lets face it the reason Hockey isn't big with alot of people is because its to hard to bet! Not to many people are willing to lay a 1/2 or 1 puck a game! When there is usually 3 goals scored a game!!!!

One day I may have to explain to my son what hockey was.

I was never really into it, I played some street hockey, but that was about it. I was always following hoops rather than hockey. I know some of my buddies are big Ranger fans... honestly they aren't missing the season either.... they are getting into hoops now and loving it!

I care but at the same time I am getting sick of proffessional athletes.
Their friggin unions are rediculous.
If this hockey season has to be the sacrificial lamb, then so be it. I hope the other sports take notice.

Realistically I know the other sports are too big for this to happen but I can dream can't I

What annoys me the most is that while some of the players are playing overseas and still making a buck, the people who needed the season to make money (vendors, valets, janitors, maintenance, local businesses, etc) are struggling and not getting the work they are used to. No one is really taking care of them.

What saddens me is that no one cares. Including myself. Growing up I was a huge hockey and NY Ranger fan. I played hockey until I was about 35. In my early 20s I played on traveling tournament teams. If I wasn't playing hockey I was watching the games on TV. Every year I went to a handful of regular season games and the playoffs. There was nothing better than the excitement at the game of playoff hockey.

It's so sad the game has become such a BORE. The players are too big. They don't skate. It's all clutch and grab. The goalies equipment is huge. Leading to very little scoring.

Bring back hockey from the 70s and 80s
