My guess in Bud Grant

Head coach for the Vikings and I know he played for the Minneapolis Lakers but not sure if he was ever part of there coaching staff. I will do some checking.

Bud Grant played in the NBA. I don't believe he coached.

Here is a little Bio I found on Grant...Just says he was a member of 1950 team(only 23 at the time so I assume he was a player at the time and not a coach). Are you sure you heard the question right?? I have no clue if it's not Grant.
