Sorry-contrarian or not, a play such as Arizona, provided it was made sincerely and not in collusion with the other cappers in his groups to get people to sign up(which I believe is very possible here) does NOT deserve GOY status-no way, no how can a game like the worst term in league playing awful against a team playing well be the GOY out of all the thousands win or lose.
If he picked LA as the GOY or Zona as a comp. or regular play, I can see it.
People can testify all they want to about him, but I have seen plenty of folks bashing him and Lawrence over the years also.
My gut feeling and knoweldge tells me over time he is at best an average capper when all things considered, and after yesterday, he marketing tactics or judgments over GOYS designation are very suspect.

The game i'm sure met certain criteria which falls into als systems, Al is a STRICT system player, which i do in some ways disagree with.... you will not see al with another 5* Baseball GOY this year..

Lou, with all due respect. Are you kidding me? Defending the likes of Big Al. You are clearly misinformed!!! I've seen far too many of these GOY games go up in smoke. It's very naive of you to claim that Big Al isn't in collusion with other cappers.

BTW, Big Al is associated with Lawrence. To state otherwise is FALSE. They appear on shows together. They are on many website together. They are buddies. I've had an email conversation with Big Al. He admits that he shares capping info with Lawrence.

Another ploy used by cappers is for many cappers to be on the 'wrong' side of the same game. How many times have we seen many cappers on the same game. Many releasing it as a GOS only to see the game not cover. I think they do so to drive the line. Then they play the opposite side of their selection.

I have to agree with Savage. Having a play on Arizona and making it a GOY status are 2 different things. I'd have no problem making them a selection. However, GOY status should be reserved for quality teams. Not on arguably the worst team in baseball.

IMO 95% of the services are crooks. I think many of them start out with good intentions but greed gets the best of them.

4realyo, I don't believe Big Al is being singled out. Loser Lawrence has been crucified many times over at this forum. Big Al happens to be one of the bigger public cappers. With that exposure also come criticism.

Hey Frank-to look at it differently: Judging by Big Al's disastrous GOY pick yesterday and on W. Virgina against Maryland (as someone pointed out), I hope we DON'T see another GOY from Big Al..:D

From Big Al's point of view perhaps, what does he have to lose?He doesn't have to play the game himself, he takes in money no matter what, his fellow cappers also take in money and give out the other side.
If Zona had won, Big Al figured he could brag about how only he could come up with such an unlikely picmkas Arizona as a GOY and use that to engender more business.
If the game lost, so what, Big Al and his cohorts received their money from people buying the picks, and in a few weeks no one would remember anyways)( EXCEPT some of us here bettorschat).
Well, Big Al Mc "Money" made his profit yesterday from those who bought into his GOY, and to Big Al that is all that matters anyways.

I refuse to argue with anyone who defends services for the simple reason that they are unnecessary and in the long run a sure - fire recipe for losing more money than you will win. Again my feeling is that there is lots of money to be made with the talent in BC that is SHARED ... not SOLD.

This being said let's start you out with
College Basketball:

I have found the following to be excellent in College Basketball . Note that there are others and hopefully Frank B and KMann will fill you in later on . Apologies to the fine cappers whom I've left out. My aim is to keep it simple and avoid lots of cluttering.

1) " Shorty "
2) " Bennojd "

Get to know both of these wonderful College Basketball Handicappers. Make a note of their names .... They rarely appear nowadays because they are smart enough not to play sports that they feel they are not experts at. Their posts are timely and extremely clear and their record keeping is flawless. Both Shorty and Bennojd are great guys and gracious enough to answer your questions.

Shorty's 10* Plays are Golden !!! Once in a while he gives us a 10* Baseball game and he's 3-0 so far this year with them. Play ALL Shorty's 10* Games Period in EVERY SPORT. All of his college basketball selections should be given your serious consideration .... with his 10*'s being the Crown Jewels.

Bennojd also passes on some sports which is both admirable and credible. He specializes in College Hoops and posts his plays clearly and timely.... He understands why we are here and why we do what we do.

Both have excellent track records for the sport they specialize in.

Utilize their knowledge and willingness to share and you will make money this coming College Basketball season.

I agree there are many great handicappers in this forum... EZ, Wiz, Motorcity, Homer, GV to name a few... I think that the more information you have the better your odds of winning are... i will lay heavier especially when one of the experts from this web-sites opinion coincides with a paid service like Bigals
