I would love to see this trade happen. Randy, Pedro, and Schilling each pitching twice in a 7 game series with Wakefield in the middle would be awesome!

If they did get him they should then ditch Lowe for something in return! It's just too good to be true though and he will probably end up a Yankee.

Personally, as a diehard Sox fan since 1952, I hope Sox don't do it.
Yeah, Nomar might leave anyways, but he is starting to come into his own again, is about 10 years younger than RJ and is too valuable in too many ways both tangible and intangible to let him go now.

Wayne-getting RJ would be great IF Sox get to playoffs.
I still worry that if Ortiz and/or Ramirez go in a slump, it would be nice to know that at least Nomar might pick up the slack.
Maybe I am wrong, and I have always liked Nomar a lot, but I am just not convinced yet that this would be a great thing all things considered both for this year and for years to come.
Obviously I sure hope it works out if it gets done.

Believe me, i like Nomar too but i think Johnson would pretty much guarantee us a playoff berth!

Trade Nomars bat for Johnson arm and do it fast!!! No guar that Nomar is healthy enough to last the season anyhow.....Best of all, Yanks will have no pitching, and if they get to the post season, they are toast. Red Sox are losing games to Unearned Runs this season, they lead the majors, Pokey is a better defender, And they have a solid pen when Williamson gets back. Hell, trade d-Lowe for Delgado!
