Need some help concerning a vacation in the States

is somebody from Dallas hanging out here?
I think about flying there asap to meet a close friend. She never was in Dallas before, but she told me that this place should not be too boring.
So, my question:
Does anyone have ever been to Dallas?
Are there some tourist attractions that are worth seeing it?

If you were gonna go that far go a little farther to San Antonio. I have a blast down there on the river walk. Then you got the Alamo and tons to do there.
