Windows 8: Microsoft Ends Support for 3-Year-Old Operating System
Microsoft stopped offering security patches for Windows 8 on Tuesday, in favor of version 10 of the operating system. Microsoft also ended support for versions 8, 9 and 10 of Internet Explorer.


They are really pushing Windows 10 and you could get it for free at one time. Glad that I took them up on the free update.

I think the free upgrades ended December 31. I kept trying to get my wife to take it and she never did. Now, she'll have to pay that exorbitant Microsoft price if she wants to continue getting those security patches. What a shame.
