  • Blizzard In The New England Area

A blizzard heading to New England could make travel nearly impossible and dump up to 2 feet of snow on a region that has seen mostly bare ground this winter.

The snow will start Friday morning, with the heaviest amounts dumped on the region that night and into Saturday as the storm moves through New England and upstate New York, the National Weather Service said.

A blizzard watch for parts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island said travel may become nearly impossible because of high winds and blowing snow.

Calling for 24-36 inches in providence now. All I care about is losing power. That is what sucks the most. I say every year I'm getting a generator and I still haven't yet.

Just left Foxwoods to go home so I made sure to beat the storm. They are worried there because they are suppose to have some big card tournies this weekend and think the snow will cancel them.
