Won't he slow down when he hits the normal air/atmosphere? I think the maximum velocity is somewhere around 170 -200 if you are perfectly straight arms at your side and perpedicular to the ground, around 120 if you are spread eagle(parallel to the ground)

Big question, if he breaks the sound barrier does he hear the sonic boom?

Did you read the story? The guy who did it once from a closer distance reached 536 mph.

Also, we were watching it on the link i provided and it was talking about it being postponed. How did you miss all of this stuff?

Today, the launch of the Red Bull Stratos capsule had to be stopped at 11:42 a.m. local time in Roswell, New Mexico just before Felix Baumgartner's giant 30 million cubic foot balloon had been fully inflated and made ready for take off. From early morning the team postponed the launch due to strong winds at 700 feet - the balloon's top - waiting for the right weather window to open. The launch was scheduled for 11:40 a.m., the balloon inflation had begun, and then gusty winds picked up and made a launch impossible.

Anyway Im out. Going to get 3 miles in on walking in 50 minutes on the treadmill. You need to do it, you feel great when you get done. Screw jogging. Walking is where it's at IMO.
