Taxi is the easiest way to get around when I was there. Fairly cheap imo. I always had the funnest time gambling in the old downtown area. Horseshoe, Golden Nuggett, etc.

I agree and everything is so much closer downtown, just walk out on Freemont St and the next casino is only a few feet away. Main St. Station has a great buffet and cool Victorian architecture with great stained glass. Las Vegas club, Binions, The Golden Nugget are all within a block of each other.
