  • Question for Computer Geeks

Perhaps Spark or someone else can weigh in on this.
I have an electronic mouse which has a couple of years old.
Of late when I click on say "favorites", it is not responsive at all, and I have to click on it several times to bring up the website to which I want to go.
Worse, sometimes when I click on favorites, it brings up an email or junk mail instead.
I have tried wiping the mouse and even changing the mous speed but the problem still persists.
Also at times when I left click to correct a typo and try to put the cursor before the letter I want to add or change, it brings /highlights the entire word, and I have to fiddle with it to move the cursor to the exact letter I want to change.
Anyways, does anyone have any suggestions here and/or do I possibly just need a new mouse?
    Thanks in advance.

Well folks the truth is I could come up here and lie and say I checked the battery, and that that isn't the problem, and that the mouse is just broken and needs to be replaced
However, that isn't my nature and sadly(I am sure you guys will love this and won't find it sad but hilarious), I must admit that since I started using electronic mouses a few years ago, I have never had any problems with them and and simply assumed because there was a constant red light on the bottom of the mouse, that it was all electronic and that there was no battery inside of it.
I actually thought KB was simply being his usual sarcastic self.
Well thanks to KB it was the battery indeed and everything is fine once again.
ps From this incident perhaps I should see if my brain needs a mew battery aslo.

Actually I thought it was powered by John Lackey's charm and great charm.
In all seriousness no excuse for my stupidity today.
