It looks like somehow I got a virus on my laptop. Do any of you know of a good program to download so I can get rid of it?

I am currently using my laptop in "safe mode".

If any of you computer nerds or geeks could recommend a free anti-spyware program i could download and run to fix my laptop I'd appreciate it.

Bry, i would suggest a couple that helped me out when my daughter got a virus on her laptop. AVG software and virus removal. I had a subscription to Norton/Symantec on the laptop at the time, and it didn't help. I loaded the free AVG software and the AVG virus removal and it got rid of it. Another thing I now use with the AVG is the free Windows defender. Google both and good luck.

yeah i ended up having to save all my files on a thumb drive then dump the hard drive and reinstall windows and start over.

it is fine now. im really not sure how i got this 0x0000007 issue. all the sudden one day my screen went blue and it said that 0x0000007 BS stuff. I couldnt do anything but run my PC in "safe mode". It wouldnt even load up in regular log in mode
