Anyone seeing these pictures wow these pictures look awful.saying a 23 foot wave could be headed to la and hawaii.i really hope this stays out to see but they said just now there was a good chance it could hit los angeles.they said they were having problems trying to get this info out to everyone because its not even 5am on the west coast

THEY ARE SAYING THIS IS THE 5TH LARGEST QUAKE RECORDED SINCE 1900.THEY JUST NOW SAID THAT L.A. WAS PROBABLY SAFE.LETS SAY A PRAYER FOR ALL THOSE INVOLVED AND ALL OF OUR FRIENDS ON HERE THAt are from hawaii and the west coast.

they are saying a 6-8 foot wave should be hitting Hawaii at any minute now.I KNOW THIS DOES NOT SOUND LIKE ALOT BUT THEY ARE SAYING THAT COULD DO ALOT OF DAMAGE THEY SAID THE WAVE IS MOVING AT ABOUT 400 MPH COULD THAT BE POSSIBLE THAT A WAVE COULD BE MOVING AT THOSE TYPES OF SPEEDS.ABC IS SHOWING A LIVE PICTURE OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN IN HAWAII AND THE WATER LOOKS VERY CHOPPY AND DANGEROUS

Now they are saying that they are having problems with shutting down 1 of the nuclear plants saying now that there is cause for concern because they can not get this to shut down

what in the world does this mean.


Wow now think about how much energy is in this wave that an earthquake can hit in japan and that trigger a wave 6-8 foot high and they said miles and miles wide and moving at a speed from 400-700 mph

On abc they are showing a picture of a boat that was just sitting there and then the wave hit and wow it almost demolished that boat i am not sure that that ship made it.this is a very scary situation

This happened almost a year ago to the day and Hawaii was expected to get a tsunami and it never happened. Let's hope for the same results today. I don't think it is going to affect the U.S. in any way.

TOKYO — Japanese police say 200 to 300 bodies have been found in a northeastern coastal area where a massive earthquake spawned a tsunami.


The magnitude 8.9 offshore quake unleashed a 23-foot (7-meter) tsunami and was followed by more than 50 aftershocks for hours, many of them of more than magnitude 6.0. Earlier, police confirmed at least 60 people had been killed and 56 were missing. The death toll was likely to continue climbing given the scale of Friday's disaster.

One guy on CNN keeps saying this is going to be one of the worst disasters in California in many years. He is certain it is going to possibly wipe out places like Crescent City California and the wave is supposed to hit between 11-11:30 AM Eastern. We will see i guess!

I would be curious to know, how many ships there are between Japan and the US on any given day. Freighters, cruise lines, navy vessels, etc. I wonder what they are seeing?

Minor damage in Santa Cruz Calif.Several boats ,one capsized and a couple breaking free from the dock.Also some dock damage in the harbor.3-6 feet increase in Wave size so far in Pacifica Calif.
