It's been pretty nuts. Some very strong storms! 4 reported dead, 3 in the town of Tecumseh, which is ESE of OKC about 50ish miles.

      Lots of damage

Thanks, KB. I was in Tulsa yesterday evening. My wife left OKC heading home in rush hour. She drove in hail and high winds. She passed Choctaw Rd on I-40 eastbound about 5 minutes before the Love's Country Store and the Truck Stop at that exit were blown away. Blew cars off the interstate into surrounding fields..luckily no one was killed there.

That big storm cell was moving east about 65 mph..hauling ass. My son who lives in south OKC kept calling his mother and telling her to drive faster.

I guess my nephew was in that same area. He reported having his truck lifted off the road momentarily. He had even a closer call than my wife.

Wow! How scary! I know how busy I-40 gets about that time with people coming out of the city. I thought I heard there were 2 deaths in that area, not sure they were right there at the Love's store or not. Couple years ago when my brother was in rehab near Maud, I'd stop at that exact store every weekend on my way to see him. He love's that Robertson's beef jerky and I'd stop and by a canister every weekend for 3 months on my way out to see him. Hard to see it completely demolished like that

I think the Love's employees herded all the customers into a walk-in freezer at the store...probably saved some lives there. I can't imagine that some of the motorists driving down the interstate when it came through weren't seriously injured or killed. I may have misunderstood the report. I'm sure they'll rebuild the store. That place is a gold mine.

The springtime storms just keep coming here on the southern plains. Lots of damage in central OK yesterday from large hail. Luckily for me, the hail was small when it got to my place, but in NW OKC cars, roofs, people were damaged with hail the size of baseballs and softballs. It looked like winter with the ground covered with ice in a lot of places. .

About 5 min. of heavy nickle sized hail at my place, covered the ground white and beat my tomato plants badly.
