Turn on the damn water

Do you guys know that the Federal Govt, led by Pelosi, Obama have turned off the water flow to the farmers in Fresno CA? All to protect a small fish.....You radicals need to really look in the mirror..This is America and your killing a whole community.. 17% of all that we eat is from this valley....Now the farmers are looking at dust farms and 40% of the Valley is unemployed....Turn the fucking water on OBAMA!!!!!!!!! your govt is doing the worst kind of terror..>>>>DOMESTIC TERROR!!!!!

Pelosi is a joke. Her and her millions that they make employing hispanics they probaly pay a pitance to pick grapes at their vineyards. Bet she wouldnt turn off the water there! She is an embarrasment to the country.

I'll answer this as simply as I can....

It's not so simple to just turn on the water here.

First off. There is plenty of water here for farmers, however, a majority of it goes to supply the water pigs in Los Angeles and San Francisco with water for their grass and parks and everything else.

Second. Farmers don't tell you that more water flow may destroy a fragile eco system, which biologists and scientists have found may cause detrimental long term effects to the environment. One species feeds another and another and so on. When you start eliminating species of plant life and animals, the long term effect is that you may end up eliminating mankind! So turning on the water isn't so simple. But you won't hear that from farmers. It's only about the here and now.

I don't want to see them lose jobs or their farms either. But the solution is how to get water to LA and San Fran, such as a pipeline from Lake Shasta to San Fran, instead of pumping it out of the valley. Just like they built an oil pipeline.

And better water usage by farmers. Such as all farmers growing certain crops to be required to install drip irrigation. It's smart usage, not just wasted usage.
