Voting is just taking it to a level that really isn't needed though savage. Some guys probably havn't been back since last night but who knows. I don't see the harm in leaving it open like it is in this forum. Maybe in a week somebody comes back to you in here with interest and questions, good or bad. I don't know but why close it? For what reason??

Ok then as far as am I concerned then, keep it open for a while, but withe strict conditions I mentioned about keeping the posts civil and for nobody to insult anyone;if it once again gets nasty in the opinion of Monte and Spark, then the thread should be closed IMMEDIATELY with no questions asked.

I really don't get why you (Spark), mavs and bryce want this closed. It really doesn't matter to me but it has been absolutely DEAD around here lately and boring as hell. The 1 time a thread gets people perked up and actually hitting a thread multiple times, let's close it? savage has taken all the posts well and he has given his thoughts on 99% of them. You guys make no sense to me. If savage was upset and begging to have it closed ok, but he wasn't.

It's like any time there is a disagreement around here, people scream to have the thread closed. It is a internet chat forum and i see nothing wrong with it. If somebody was spamming or calling somebody's mother a cunt or something ok, but nobody was.

Because like all of his recent threads, it is pointless and more importantly is doing no body any good.

It's not a big deal, I never said it was. I think it's distracting and stupid, not to mention it bumps threads ABOUT SPORTS down the board each time. And I'm not the only one who thinks so.

If you need to keep it open, go ahead, but I think you and Savage are the only ones who really give a shit anymore.

Just giving my input, and mine is, "close the thread." Not that it matters, do what you wanna' do.

I'm not the only one who wants it closed. Like every other one of Savage's threads it's going to end badly, and with Savage bitching about name calling and "unwarranted" remarks that he brought upon himself.

I've seen threads closed for much stupider reasons than this one should be for.

You're the mod, I'm the poster, you can close it, I can't. So again:

"Do what you want"

I've given my reasons and thoughts, whether or not they are relevant.

It's not the biggest deal in the world, just giving MO on what is best for the forum.

I really don't feeling like talking in, or giving any more energy to this thread.

hey, savage has fought his fight and whether or not i agree with him, i'll respect him for doing that. I know some think/thought i was trying to "Bait" savage in to something just to hit the ban button but i never was. Never even thought about banning him or wanting to get him banned. I say all this because I KNOW some were thinking that that was my motive. Not the case. savage gets me worked up. He always has and his replies are always what gets me, and obviously many others. He doesn't use profanity but i think that makes it much worse. I would rather see that than a novel like he writes.

When i go off on savage it's because the old bastard (JK) frustrates the living hell out of me and as i said earlier, i swear a lot when i get frustrated and try to talk to savage.

Whether or not i agree with his marriage or beliefs, i still love arguing with him and he has certainly dusted the Cobwebs out of the non gambling forum in the last couple days.

Hell, If i met his wife, i would treat her with all the respect in the world and treat her right ... but when i'm yelling at savage and calling his marriage a fraud, it is simply my belief and if he is willing to keep disputing what everyone says, it is on like Donkey Kong!

Thus I guess we can conclude that the thread will stay open until/if the moderators decide that it has gotten out of hand once again.
In spite of all the hostility, anger, insults everyone engaged in during this tread (and yes including me), I would like to think that we can all show some respect for each other.
Lets face it, we all gamble, like to talk and bs, and as shown in this thread and some others, can get engaged in a good topic.
I bet if everyone in this forum got together some day and chatted in person over a beer (or in my case a coke lol), we would all see each other in a diiferent light and realize that it is possible to be friends with someone with whom you disagree or at least be more tolerant and respectful of each other's views.
This actually just happened to me with someone on another forum who has posted here in the past.
In short, we had some vicious arguments in the past with terrible insults hurled at each other over politics and a few other things.
No we are good friends(even though we don't see eye to eye on most political issue).
I actually called him to say hi in my family's recent trip to Baltimore to see the Sox series;he even invited me to his house.
My schedule didn't allow us to visit him, but we had a great chat about many things including politics, gambling, sports services( we both take a great interest in exposing them), etc.
What is most interesting and important is that in talking to each other directly( I have chatted with him several time in the past before the nastiness started) we realized that we were not as apart as much as we thought in some things, and we each came out of the call with a new found respect for each other.
Lets face it we all have good qualities and stuff we have to work on-I sure as hell do and during the last few days told about them in this forum.
I say keep it clean and then some day perhaps outside folks reading these threads with intelligent arguments and will walk away saying "BettorsChat has talent."
