Afghanistan,Another Viet Nam?
As most know I'm from the days that America lost its innocence,Viet Nam,Nixon.I was in college and did my share of protesting in Milwaukee and over in Madison with a couple of my high school buddies.I have a brother that was over in Nam and he kept sending me letters to stay in school,take the deferments,never get drafted.What I do not understand is why in the fuck is the youth today not in the streets protesting,and yes rioting,against this OIL empowered government to get the hell out of Afghanistan and Iraq.How many more thousand American lives will die for nothing like in Viet Nam.Does not history teach us anything?Is it time for us old farts to take up the cause again?Stand up youth of America,time to start giving back and get involved.For reference listen to Buffalo Springfield,FOR WHAT ITS WORTH,or Jefferson Airplane,VOLUNTEERS.The message is there.Do not let history repeat us to more sorrowful pain.

I agree with you MD. I was watching this world report show up in Virginia on vacation last week. They showed Afghan rebels shooting on an American base. The Americans, had to call over to headquarters 2 hours away to ask if they could return fire. By the time they got an answer to return fire the rebels were gone. I don't get it. This crap started when the allies bent over for Stalin at the end of WWII and went into Korea. American warfair hasen't been the same since the end of WWII imo.Comment
