Go find another place to argue politics if thats what you want.I guess if you want to get involved you can talk sports and pick games here at BETTORSchat.Savage,while we both agree to disagree and I will say I have no problems with you it's your beliefs that i disagree with.And you disagree with mine.We have had some good conversations and niether one of us got out of line.The problem is that were the exception.These threads are no good and does no good for anyone.90% of my post are sports/betting related.What would you say yours was?

I didn't start the Political thread in the first place;it was there and I read and responded to what others said.
There are plenty of other threads in this forum which deal with non sports or non gambling matters which still exist;why are these ok but the political ones "no good?" It is not my fault that some folks can't handle threads like this in a mature way.
I thought the political thread was interesting and intellectually challenging in spite of the childish name calling by some;then again, I guess it is unrealistic to expect those with a STRICTLY gambling mentality to engage in civil conversation with folks who don't share their viewpoints and who think beyond the present such as was the case in the overpopulation crisis issue which was raised.

Because members were getting very nasty and personal with each other over it and this site was not intended for that. There are a million political forums out there if people want to fight it out but this was never intended to be one.

Actually, your post ended with a lot of babble that i didn't even understand, but i answered your question because you didn't seem to "Get" why they are gone ... and to me, it's obvious.

The point is that some couldn't a thread like this in a mature manner(which I find sad), and that is why moderators decided to remove it.
Conversely, if all posts had been civil, I would think the thread might still remain, no?
I simply said that I thought even in view of above, I would have liked to seen the thread continue (perhaps with a few new rules such as not permitting name calling)-thats all I was saying.

I hear you. It would still have been nice in my opinion if people would have contained their remarks to substance rather than resorting to name calling, thus allowing the thread to perhaps continue.
