He is the coolest guy of all time. This redneck lady that works in the mail room at my firm has been telling me she is friends with Charles since I told some people at work that I saw him at a bar months ago. Anyway, she is a nice woman, but she's 250 pounds plus, and I could not figure out why he would hang with her. She brought an old Leeds high school year book to work to prove that she went to school with him, but I figured that he would never hang with someone that went to high school with-since he is such a huge celeb. So, last night I was at a nice restaurant, and I saw her walk by as I was leaving the mens room. Told her it was good seeing her, and she said she wanted to introduce me to someone. In my head I was wondering who she was with because I didn't think she would be at this place. I know that sounds shitty, but this woman has 5 kids, and is a single mom working in the mail room. Anyway, she walks me to a private room, and there sat Sir Charles. She introduced me, and I sat down with them, and drank a couple glasses of Pinot with all of them. A few times a year he takes her, and one of her friends out with him. The only thing he makes them do is drive him around. He was riding around with her in her mini van. I don't care what people say about him. The fact that he hasn't forgotten where he came from says a lot about him. Really a stand-up-guy.

I think you are absolutely right. Barkley is good people. I enjoy his candid persona. I met him once after a Philly game at Arco Arena in Sacto where I photographed the Sixers/Kings game....You must have had fun G'ma.
