If you are with the kids, take a Duck Boat tour, go to Fanueil Hall and then the Aquarium.

    How old are the kids?

They would enjoy the Duck tour...if you are energetic, walk the entire day...from the duck tour, walk down Newbury Street through the Public Gardens and the Boston Commons, then walk the Freedom Trail through Faneuil Hall. The Freedom Trail starts at the top of the Commons.

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
          Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

Walking by it would be enough for me...you are correct in that the only filmed the exterior of it.
