Has anyone taken Muscle Milk or Myoplex Protien Shakes??

  • Has anyone taken Muscle Milk or Myoplex Protien Shakes??

    Ok guys, I went to the doc's today and they had to up my blood pressure medication. Doc told me i had to go on a diet so my question is to you. Have you heard of this muscle milk or myoplex shakes and have they worked for you? Do you take them as a meal replacement? Get back to me.. thanks

          Doc I do both brands and myoplex would better because its more of a meal relacement than muscle milk. Muscle milk has more fat for body builders because it assuming that most of the fat will be used in the gym working out. Muscle milk definitely tastes better but you will probably get better results from myoplex.

          muscle milk = 330 calories,32 grams of protein and 16 grams of fat. but only 12 carbs

          myoplex=300 calories 42 grams of protein 5 grams of fat and about 22 carbs

            I'm hittin the gym pretty hard again and might try the muscle milk.What does it do for your energy level.

              I have actually used the myoplex ready to drink shakes and taste very good. I lost alot of weight on the Body For Life program and was weight training every other day. But the thing that sucks about myoplex is the cost. I can get muscle milk for 25 bucks for 18 of them... while 18 of the myoplex will cost me around 85 bucks.

              I'm not looking for best results but looking for results. Is it still ok if i take muscle milk as a meal replacement?

                      The muscle milk that i was planning on getting has

                      230 calories, 22 grams of protein and 11 grams of fat and 11 grams of carbs......saturated fat is 4.5 g


                      My workout program that i'm going to do is this...

                      Sunday-Cardio
                      Monday-Upper Body
                      Tues- cardio
                      Wed- Lower Body
                      Thurs- Cardio
                      Friday- Upper Body
                      Saturday- Off Day.... Can eat whatever i want

                      but on the days when working out, 5-6 meals a day at a small portion

                              Muscle milk tastes much better because it has more fat, they are both pretty good for you compared to that MickeyD's consumption you laid out the other day...I prefer to drink them after a workout because that is when they are best in terms of refueling your body.
