Reviews on HD Sat receivers are not favorable.
A direct TV dish can be used but must be realigned to Dish Network.
Some local stations are spot beamed. Even with a Sat Receiver these will not come in unless you are in that market.
In Wisconsin yesterday, I received 90% of the games.

I live in a high rise, and the building shares a dish or dishes on the roof, that we don't have access to. Is this a problem? Do I need actual access to the dish?

Also, does it matter is it is direct tv?
Works with the DishNetwork sats in the sky....echostar and such...dont think it works with DirectTV

looking at this myself. Seems most numbers I call are not good numbers from the site.
I have a call out to 2 techs (installers) to return my call. If you have one of these or one like it - tell us of your pros and cons!
I have the regular viewsat....if you want HD just look at what DishNetwork offers....whatg you are basically doing is getting free DishNetwork.....I had it for about a week now and it cut off a day after I got it (PPV, HBO and such) but my guy bought this disk over my house and put it in the front of my machine and I was back in business.....I watch anything I want at anytime.....kinda cool but there is 2 much to watch....Its a must have if you gamble and want to watch the games though

          PEACE

I don't think I could go back to watching standard defintion TV. Guess I've been spoiled with the HD.

What happens if I purchase this equipment and mine goes out after 1 day? Does some mysterious man come out and fix mine too? Where do I get this "disk" or how can I fix it?
            It's always noon somewhere!

Trust me Griff there are plenty of people using this.....find out who is selling DishNetwork in your area and if they seem cool start asking them a bunch of questions

Also there is a great website out there for info called hashhu.com and there is tons of info on there.....its well worth it and if you are worried at first do not cancel your current programming for about a month until you are comfy with what you have

                Griff,

I been using this for 3yrs now (Viewsat box watching DISH and BEV) and it very easy to fix once it go down. As of yesterday, most PPVs, Porns, movies channels.... for Dish and Canadian Sat (BEV) had gone down. Some one already mention in previous thread Totalfta.com had all the information need it to setup and fix it.

Here my dish setup.... lol just kidding.

Obviously you need to disconnect the phone line to your Sat. receiver .... yes ?

I've been told that you get hit with a surcharge if your receiver is not connected to a phone line .
