Would anyone possibly have a copy of a business plan they presented to a bank?

I am trying to open up a sport's bar/restaraunt and I need to get busy in getting one of these put together within the next week or two. Any help in having a copy emailed to me would be much appreciated.

    Thanks guys!

A Sports bar is one of the hardest business' to open and keep a success. The insurance alone is deadly and it is a tough business to keep more coming in than going out. I've dealt with a ton of them and 9 out of every 10 end up closing or selling out to get out of it. Tough business!

We had a sports bar in a city up here named shooters too. There were 2 shootings in one month and the place closed! lol

It wasn't in my town and the State has about 3 shootings a year ... 2 were there. Not a good name! lol

The coolest sports bar up here is called "The Stadium". It is a rockin' sports bar. 3 Levels!

You can call it "THE G SPOT" and you slogan could be "If you cant find it, you cant come"

the name is the last thing you should worry about....

                    #1 - concept/USP
                    #2 - working capital
#3 - %'s for everything....are they in line with industry standards...(payroll, rent, cost of goods sold, shrinkage, etc.)
#4 - market analysis (this includes demographics, competition, car counts, income, etc)
                    #5 - your business history
                    #6 - colateral
#7 -marketing plan...(how will you get people through the door after the honeymoon phase ...generally 18 months)
#8 - length of lease (personal guarantee) or purchase of building....you could be on the hook a long time if not set up properly

*** also a bank is probably the last people who will finance this unless you have a history of success in this business....(not trying to burst your bubble....it is what it is)

a couple of options would be.......outside venture capital....expect to pay in the range of 14-20% with an iron clad personal guarantee or give up a % of ownership for invesrtors...sell 49% of the company......

These are all things that need to be addressed before you think up a name

Thanks Tony. I have actually begun writing the business plan. Got a couple samples from online(each about 28 pages). I figure I can get all the easy points out of the way, customer base, marketing, key points to succes, and even some basic costs.

The next step I figure is to find a place that is suitable to my needs and will attract people. I was thinking about close to a college as you will always get students when games are on plus the work force would be easy to come by.

I actually have a gentleman who wants to open a second place like this so he said he would go in on it with me. I figured it would be easier to get a liqour liscence if someone already has one for one business.

I think it helps to own a sportsbar if you keep up with sports.Believe it or not alot of so called Sportsbars here in Atl you can walk in and the TVs are on cops, cnn, weather channel and a race or football game isn't on.The best sportsbar here, the guy promotes everthing on his sign daily. We drove buy a couple of months ago and he had "Come see the Dale Jr press conference live"and the place was packed out at lunch time because guys like myself drove by and said hell lets go watch it and eat lunch. If I could afford to do it thats how I would run it.Good luck

Xstac you need to check local marketing companies as they can work one up for you. Plus they can help with other things like location etc.

Also hire HOT chicks that actually know about sports and the teams. There is a sports bar down here and no kidding EVERY waitress/bartender is fuckin smokin and they will actually talk to you about the game and stuff too...even though I have quit drinking I still go there and watch some games every now and then just because I know there is a bunch of HOT chicks serving you that know sports...if I only I had the balls to pick one of them up...
