It was never a problem with Mo becasue he was so great but time does catch up. I know we are battling for the WC but somtimes you need to lose battles to win the war. No need for Mo to be in there today. He didn't have good stuff the last two times out.

As for Gagne, no way in on EARTH would I have traded Joba, Hughes or Ian for him. I like the deal the Sox made but the Rangers wanted one of our top 3 pitching prospects for a Rent-A-Player. So although I hate that the Sox got him, I know I would rather you have him then the Yankees give up one of those guys.

The Yanks are finally developing their own prospects. Cano, Melky, Wang and Phillips first and now these three guys. And I for one love it! Reminds me of brining up Posada, Bernie, Jeter, Pettite and Mo.

ESPN's Buster Olney just stated that the Yanks have one, if not the, Top Pitching Prospects in all of MLB. So I am glad Cashman didn't ruin that for 3 months of Gagne.
I agree with this 110%! I saw Ian for the first time on YES Network today and im anxious to see what he does when he gets called up.. Kid has some sick stuff thats a fact!

      EXACTLY...

i really believe texas wanted either of those 3 just to stick it to the yanks for the arod deal... then they go and ask for 3 scrubs from the boston minor league system...

Tony, the yankees do have the #1 pitching farm system in the minors... We are looking very good for the future my friend...

            It does look very promising.

It just feels good to have our own guys come up. Feels like a real team and not just a revolving door of guys.

It's pretty bad when a Boston fan is the only one defending Torre ... That really blows my mind to be honest. As the old saying goes ... You don't know what you got 'til it's gone. I hope all the Yankee fans who booed Arod time and again feel that next year too.

I love Joe Torre. Me saying he is horrendous when it comes to the bullpen isn't me wishing he was gone. It is stating a fact. Like Herm Edwards can't tell time. Same thing!

There is no one that could do a better job with all the egos we have and had. I just wish he would stop running pitchers into the ground.

You know what... maybe its Justin Synder... he's in the ny penn league... that dude has like a 390 batting average since the beginning of the year.

That's what all Yankee fans think. I've heard more boo's for that guy in NY than i could ever imagine. If i were him, i would leave.

Torre has led that team through so much from young kids playing in the majors through 911 and recently a plane crash ... while somehow keeping them on course every year for a playoff run. Maybe Cashman deserves some blame. When you spend 130 million on a lineup and 90 million on a starting staff, it doesn't leave much left for the pen.
