If you are looking for light, humorous reading, check out anything from David Sedaris. I don't agree with his lifechoices (gay), but he is damn funny. I have even listened to him speak at book readings and even more hilarious than his books/stories. He wrote a short story about kissing Mike Tyson, I have not read it, but it is supposed to be complete slapstick.

I have not read the book but it is supposedly based in Ada, a small town in eastern Oklahoma. A good friend of mine who grew up there knew a lot of the characters in the book.

Moe Howard and the Three Stooges - It's Moe's autobiography and will answer most of the questions you have about him and the other stooges. It's an easy read, too.
